It is an honour for me to take on the duties and responsibilities of our colleague and good friend, Mr. Roberto C. Amores, as the new Philfoodex President. While I am deeply saddened by the early demise of our transformational leader whose advocacies for the local food manufacturers are remarkably unprecedented, I would like to take this as a positive challenge to carry on with his legacy as well as amalgamate new improvements in our organization.

As the new Philfoodex President, it is my preliminary goal to have closer ties and a more productive relation with each and every member of our organization. We shall start off by having a general membership meeting every two months, and I enjoin everyone to support this endeavour because I believe that your active participation in our activities is very integral in keeping our organization active, visible and united. While there will be constant dissonance along the way, I will ensure that there will be no voice left unheard. We shall capitalize on our strength as a unified organization, but it is equally important that we remain focused on taking on new directions though innovative thinking.

As we usher in a more sustainable “new normal,” I look forward to serving you and together, let’s make Philfoodex stronger, being the most recognized umbrella organization of local food manufacturers, exporters, and producers in the country!
